Anthropicâs Claude Just Made a Revolutionary Leap Forward by letting AI take over your computer screen

Anthropic has introduced a groundbreaking new feature in Claude 3.5 Sonnet that allows the AI to interact with computers the way humans do, such as navigating interfaces, clicking buttons, and typing text. This "computer use" capability, available in public beta through the API, lets developers direct Claude to automate complex tasks by controlling standard software and web applications. While still experimental and prone to occasional errors, early adopters like Replit and The Browser Company are using it to handle multi-step workflows. The feature is expected to improve quickly with developer feedback, opening new possibilities for AI-powered automation.

Academy Update:
AI For Nonprofits has been drafted and in review. Beta will start in Early November

We are excited to be launching this brand new course in collaboration with Social Venture Partners. We have now completed all of the modules including lessons and assignments, and it is all going through internal reviews and edits. After the final edits, we will be creating sample media to go into the course. During Beta testing, students will get free early access to the course and get a chance to talk to the course developers, ask questions and give feedback on 3 different occasions during the two week period. We will send out invites to everyone on our list and it will be limited to 10 students. Look forward to seeing more information in the coming weeks.

Academy Update:
We have started development on AI For Golfers. Thatâs right, AI can be fun too!

If youâve been watching us on social media, we may not talk about how much we love golf, but there are signs. đ Inspired by Isabel Prado, who is our engagement lead, but also a semi-professional golfer and golf influencer. Weâre combining Isabelâs knowledge of golf, and how Jack has used AI to go from shooting a 119 in a simulator, to shooting in the low 70s in about 6 weeks. Weâve always wanted to create a course that would be for something fun, and weâre really excited to be working on this. And as youâll see in the next story, we didnât stop thereâŚ
Academy Update:
AI For Everyone Gets Some Updates

Itâs hard to believe we launched AI For Everyone just a few months ago. One of the things that we do on a regular basis is audit our existing courses whenever there are big changes in the AI world. As video tools are becoming more accessible, and advancements like ChatGPT Canvas, we decided to make a few adjustments to the content.
Solutions Update:
To demonstrate what can be done with AI, we designed and built an entire app platform, and created a business offering⌠in less than 7 days!

Below is a timeline of how we created an entire business offering from idea to execution to generating leads.
Thursday:
During one of our regular content meetings, the topic of golf course apps came up. We had already created an AI Assistant that was trained on a specific golf course. We talked about what the pain points were and why so many courses didnât really have their own apps.
Friday:
We had been wanting to try Cursor AI which is a coding platform that will code software for you, just by describing what you want it to do. As a software developer, itâs probably the most significant game changing application for developers. So we went to work just using prompts and describing the features, but for the design, each time we added, â... and please make it a best practice user experience designâ, and not only did it code the feature, it delivered on the cleanest interaction patterns Iâve seen. It really took the potential complexity, and reduced it to the lowest common denominator to make it the most usable. Watch a quick 1 minute overview video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/v4MtaLhtNIg?feature=share
Tuesday (following week):
We started showing a demo of the app and it was getting really positive feedback.
Wednesday:
We then replaced all of the placeholder boxes for things like menu items, pro shop items, etc⌠we used Midjourney to create example food items with a golf course in the background, and did the same for the rest of the images. This made it feel so much more real!
Thursday:
We built this website for lead generation: https://golf.whispering.ai and now have 5 different golf course companies that have expressed interest. We will be rolling this out locally to a few select courses, and then start taking on more customers in early 2025.
Why did we do this?
We really wanted to demonstrate what AI can do for a business. Everything above that we created, was a total collaboration with several AI tools and something that even a year ago, would have taken tens of thousands of dollars to create, and a team of experts, and it still would have taken months to launch.
We all have dreams about owning a business, but itâs almost always the barrier to entry of not having enough time or resources, but as you can see, AI can change that significantly.
Look for a calendar invite soon for a live demonstration where the audience picks a type of app, and we will design and build it using just prompts to do it, and have a coded app that you can download and play with.
