Google Leaks Project Jarvis

It was reported that recently Google accidentally released Jarvis as a plugin for their popular web browser, Chrome. If you remember when we talked about allowing Claude to take over your entire computer, Jarvis is very similar in that it can do research for you, fill out web forms, etc., but it is limited to the browser experience, which feels much safer than your entire computer.
We're still not sure we're going to give AI access to logging in to our financial accounts, or social media, or personal websites, but it's interesting to see the applications as they become more and more robust and pervasive.

ChatGPT now lets you search the web

OpenAI announced that ChatGPT can now allow you to add web search to your prompts. This is a huge threat to Google's search business which has already been diminishing over the last year. Between TikTok, which now exceeds the number of searches done on Google, and ChatGPT this potentially transforms web searching as context into completing a task, instead of being an actual task on it's own.

Academy Update
We are looking for Beta testers to try our new courses!

We are very close to finishing the drafts of our two new courses!
That means we are now looking for people to beta test our courses and give us feedback so we can make these learning experiences as useful as possible.
What does Beta mean? It simply means we like to test a draft of our course with people so we can hear their feedback and make any updates before we release the course. Beta testers get early access and get to see the progress to the completed course, then will have access to it once it's released. Beta testers will also receive other benefits, like exclusive discounts in the future.
Here are the steps to participating:
-
Register for our beta program at https://whispering.ai/beta
-
If selected, you will receive an invitation to a kickoff meeting where we will provide instructions and give you a chance to ask questions.
-
After the kickoff meeting, there will be two more opportunities to participate in these meetings with the course developers and fellow students.
-
Once you get your early access invitation, you will be able to take the course and provide feedback on every lesson and assignment in the student comments.
-
After the 2 week program is completed, we will go back and begin to incorporate feedback and finish the final images and videos for the course before itβs launched.
We hope several of you join us for this beta test, or if you have friends who run nonprofits or love golf, they can register as well, just have them go to the link above.
Solutions Update:
Update on our New Golf Course App Coming Soon!

Developing this product has been such an amazing experience. It took us through the world of using AI enabled tools like Cursor AI and Bolt.new to not just write code, but even integrate best practice user experience interaction patterns in all of the interactive interfaces. Jack explored how to write prompts that would not only guide the tools to create great code, but also incorporate best practices in all of the areas he didn't specify which provides an almost dynamic template approach to design and coding at the same time.
Of course AI isn't really at the point where it can just design beautiful User Interfaces, although some applications are getting close. So to take our proof of concept to the next level, we decided to incorporate an actual design system in Figma, and are now creating something called a pipeline that takes our designs in Figma, and ports it directly into our application development.
We now have almost 7 leads for golf courses who are interested and our initial user testing has been overwhelmingly positive.
So what does this have to do with Academy? Glad you asked.
We are already preparing for our third course for our general AI and AI Professional career path courses. In that next course, we will teach you how to use these tools to create your own application.
Solutions Update:
Design and Build an Entire Software Application in 45 Minutes!

When exploring these new coding tools, Jack had this idea based on a chatbot that we trained, that could help you plan an entire bachelorette trip including an itinerary of what to do, where to go, and when based on your preferences.
He then decided to see if he could turn that into an application where you could enter some criteria, and not only see a result, but see a cost breakdown. He also wanted to see if he could build the whole thing in React, which is a platform he was completely unframiliar with, but knew it was standard for contemporary mobile apps.
Then he wanted to connect it to a specifically trained AI Assistant through our API connections to OpenAI to faciliate the output. The result was not only exactly what he wanted, but the organization and structure was beautiful. Best practice UI design.
But you haven't heard the best part...
It added a feature I didn't ask for. It added the ability to save and recall your itinerary, make adjustments, and then create a new one. It also managed to do it without you having to login, because it created a cookie and then associated you to that itinerary. So as long as you use the same device and browser to come to the page, you can see your saved itineraries and even delete them.
It also did this without needing a database. It literally created the application so it would just write the saved information to a text file making this entire application as efficient as it gets.
